 Abhaya App for Women Safety in autorickshaws

What is the Abhaya App 

Nowadays you are hearing about the Abhaya app. which is the safety of women in our country.  (The Road Safety Authority) is planning to install ‘Abhaya’ apps in co-operation with the Police Department in order to secure for women passengers traveling on autorickshaws in India.

This a new technology-based app that will give protection or help to women during traveling in autorickshaws.

This Device is not tracing do but also give the relevant information about autorickshaw during traveling

 

Now only ‘Abhaya’ devices have been installed on a pilot basis in some autorickshaws in Visakhapatnam.  These App devices are being installed in Vijayawada too. A Report says they will first analyze the functioning of the devices here before deciding whether they should be installed in other autorickshaws with any modifications if necessary.

According to officials from the Road Safety Authority, the devices will be fixed beside the driver inside the vehicle. The driver will be given an (RFID) Radio Frequency Identification card, They will swipe the card to start traveling.

They swipe the card, and this device sends an alert to the police control room or traffic control room, indicating that the vehicle has started.

.Officials said the RTA  that passengers can get the details of the auto-rickshaw driver by scans the OR code which would be in autorickshaws using by Abhaya App. This is in the production Stage.

Abhaya App has a device that is also GPS-enabled, which will help in tracking the vehicle’s movement that was going or not in the city.
